I am proud to join the clinical team at NuHope where I serve as a dedicated advocate for patients navigating the intersection of physical health and mental wellness. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), my practice is built on the “person-in-environment” framework. I believe that to truly understand an individual’s struggle, we must look beyond the symptoms and consider the full context of their life: their community, their history, and their daily environment.
My clinical foundation was built at the University of Denver, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration before completing my Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health. Throughout my training, I felt a specific calling to serve those struggling with chemical dependencies. This led me to a clinical internship at Red Rock Recovery Center and a pivotal role as the Intake Coordinator at Cedar Hills Behavioral Hospital. These experiences provided me with a deep, “front-line” understanding of the recovery process and the courage it takes to step into a treatment setting for the first time.
In our sessions, you can expect a style that is calm, steady, and direct. I believe that the most significant breakthroughs happen when we are completely honest with one another. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be vulnerable yet challenged enough to grow. By utilizing evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), we will work together to process life’s transitions. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all plan, we will focus on your personal values to guide you toward however you define success.
Beyond my clinical work, I am a firm believer in the power of discipline and outdoor activity for mental clarity. You can often find me on the golf course, out for a run, or spending time with my one-year-old puppy, Michelangelo, as we work through his own “behavioral training.”
While my background is rooted in recovery and addiction treatment, my door is open to anyone seeking a path toward a healthier mind. At NuHope, we recognize that mental health is a spectrum; I am equally dedicated to supporting patients who are managing anxiety, depression, and everyday stressors that can cloud one’s quality of life. Whether you are navigating the complexities of chronic pain, seeking a way through addiction, or looking for tools to manage your mental health, I am here to provide the clinical expertise and support necessary to help you reclaim your life. I look forward to meeting you and starting this work together.
